Mississippi Fred McDowall

I’ve been doing a lot of research for an upcoming story about a Delta bluesman (including reading the excellent book Deep Blues by Robert Palmer).  So when I got a new brown paper sketchbook the other day, it inspired me to draw some blues players.  Mississippi Fred was a country blues player from North Mississippi, whose droning style influenced later musicians such as Junior Kimbrough and R.L. Burnside.  This was drawn with various pens and brushes in white and black ink.
