Hello! It's… uh… been a while. To say things have been been crazy around here would be an understatement. The high school that I teach at was destroyed in the tornado, and we were relocated into new facilities for the next three years while we rebuild. Starting over in a new building and teaching a new class (Digital Photography!) has been overwhelming. It's definitely been the busiest year since my first one. I've also been doing a ton of artwork… just not comics. I've taken on more freelance illustration work than ever the last few months, including my first ever children's book. I'm already working on the second book, and it looks like I'm going to end up doing four of them in a series. I'll post links to the first one once it is available online… 'til then I can't show you any of the artwork.
Anyway… it feels like things have finally settled down, which means it's time to get back to comics! The one I just posted was a one-page story featured in Random Ink #4. It's a goofy, true story from our college days. It's pretty rare that I do auto-biographical stuff, but I really like how this one turned out. You'll definitely see more of these eventually.
Stay tuned... I've got several more comics ready to share with you and some more random artwork on the way. Thanks for sticking around!

Rook City is BACK!
Well, after a massively long delay, our Rook City webcomic will once again be updating regularly at least for the next month or so as we finish off the “Convention Blues” storyline. 21 new pages will eventually be posted, making this by far the longest Rook City tale as of yet. The pages are all done (and even sent off to the printer) and will be posted one per weekday until the story concludes (except today when you get two pages and the cover). The story will see print in Rook City #2, which will premiere at Planet Comicon next month!
Why the delay in finishing this story? Well, the main reason is that I got pulled away into a
New work (and a contest)
Happy New Year! It's been a while… sorry about that. No posts since July is pretty inexcusable. Ironically, I have probably produced more artwork in the last year or so than any other year. In addition to the work for Glacier National Park, I have been doing more and more freelance illustration work, including five different children's books and a collectible card game, but for contractual reasons I can't show most of it here on our site. The downside is that my time for our own comics has decreased. But that is about to change.
To make up for the lack of updates, I will be posting some new artwork for every day in January (and then re
